- We build in small, focused initiative teams: a Product Engineer working alongside a PM and a designer, supported by an Engineering Manager.
- AI coding agents are a force multiplier here — they give a small, senior team the leverage to ship more, faster, and at a higher bar for quality.

Responsibilities
- You're the engineering anchor of an initiative working closely with PM, designer, engineering peers, and EM.
- You own the full lifecycle: shaping problems, deciding technical approach, directing AI agents to implement code, shipping to production, and owning outcomes.
- Make architectural, data model, integration, rollout, observability, and rollback decisions, documenting them and revisiting as needed.
- Ensure implementation quality: prompts, guardrails, evals, tests, and review loops for agent-authored code that meets production standards.
- Daily cross-functional collaboration with PM and designer; weekly check-ins with EM.
- Present results 2–4 weeks post-launch with PM and share metric impact.
- Maintain high bar for production correctness, security, performance, and user experience.
- Lead AI agents to produce senior-level code through well-crafted workflows with prompts, evals, tests, and observability.
- Make quick technical calls with architect review on major decisions and peer pressure testing.
- Focus on shipping outcome-driving metrics rather than features.
- Build reusable artifacts like runbooks, agent workflows, evals, and post-launch write-ups to multiply impact.
Requirements
- AI-native: proficient with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or equivalent AI coding agents for daily production work.
- Operate at a lead level: making calls, delivering difficult tasks, and owning results.
- Outcome-driven: focused on metric movement and improved experience; responsible for post-launch dashboard review.
- Collaborate strongly with PM, designer, and engineering peers; bring engineering judgment to product and vice versa.
- Decisive and document architecture, data model, rollout decisions.
- Create workflows to enable small teams to ship more effectively with AI agents.
- Customer- and pro-minded with care for real marketplace outcomes.
Nice to have
- An individual contributor role with room to grow; management handled by EM but open door for those interested.
- Product-engineering role shipping end-to-end features and platform work as needed within initiatives.
- Hands-on role with a high-quality bar; agents handle implementation but you provide judgment, safety, and accountability.
- Experience shipping to a live marketplace with frequent usage.
