Responsibilities

  • Provide all levels of GDS and technical product support to advisors and internal departments for issue resolution.
  • Support all GTC business divisions and assist Independent Contractors specializing in Corporate Travel, Luxury Leisure, and Entertainment.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient processes; document and implement processes to reduce issues from undefined practices or industry changes.
  • Manage Travelport solutions, including supporting queries to the GDS Help Desk and bespoke advisor work.
  • Implement new pccs and contribute to projects governed by the business.
  • Grow the Smart Button portfolio and enhance team knowledge on Travelport.
  • Assist with GDS-related questions including formats, workflow, processes, and configurations.
  • Manage the GDS Help Desk emails and all new advisor onboarding and offboarding (Agency implementations).
  • Set up new corporate clients (profiles on Sabre/Client Base/Umbrella Faces).
  • Support implementation of new client OBTs/BTA cards.
  • Create bespoke solutions (processes/scripts) to support internal or Advisor needs.
  • Support new product developments and rollouts affecting the GDS.
  • Provide GDS software installation and support.
  • Support GDS hotel rate code loading and maintenance.
  • Set up and troubleshoot bespoke itinerary configurations (TripCase/Navitas Itin-X).
  • Manage and support all processes interfacing with the GDS, from advisors to back offices (Dolphin/Agresso Net Suite).
  • Identify and share GDS updates with operational leaders.
  • Set up and support Sabre Red apps and scripts and Galileo Navitas products.
  • Scriptwriting for Smart buttons-Travelport, workflows-Sabre, Smartflows-Amadeus.
  • Support Compleat (mid-office) updates as required.
  • Support GDS audits when needed.
  • Respond to questions and troubleshoot all GDS and GDS tools.
  • Evaluate and escalate training needs for advisors and issues to IT and operational teams when necessary.
  • Stay updated with changes in Travel Technologies and operational team procedures.
  • Maintain internal process documentation.
  • Suggest process and procedure improvements within operations and wider UK teams to enhance workflows.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of the travel industry is essential.
  • 3-5 years of experience working fully proficient with Travelport back end.
  • Travelport script knowledge essential, preferably Smart Buttons.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts quickly to changing business priorities.
  • Demonstrates a positive 'just own it' attitude leading to creative problem solving with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to support business needs.
  • Knowledge of GDS and tools including Travelport, Sabre, Amadeus, Compleat (mid office), RoomService, Umbrella Faces, Client Base, Embark, Atriis, Concur, Dolphin Res Module, Agresso NetSuite, Advisor OS, Conferma, Apexx, Magnatech, and Power BI.
