The Ocean Club, a Four Seasons Resort in the Bahamas, is seeking a Water Safety Specialist to ensure guest safety on the beach and waterpark areas by monitoring activities, responding to emergencies, and enforcing safety protocols.

  • The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas has been a luxury getaway on Paradise Island since 1962, featuring 107 ultra-luxury accommodations, a Balinese-inspired spa, and dining by Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
  • The resort is set on 35 acres of Versailles-inspired lawns and gardens with 5 miles of natural white sand beach.
  • Offers a rich roster of activities including snorkeling, sailing, wind-surfing, golf, tennis, spa, and a water park with motorized rides and slides.

Responsibilities

  • Perform opening, operating and closing duties according to security department guidelines.
  • Monitor guest activity to ensure a continual safe environment, focusing on Waterfront (Beach) areas.
  • Respond to all emergencies within assigned zones using watercraft and rescue boards for water rescues.
  • Administer First Aid and/or CPR during emergencies.
  • Recognize hazardous situations and respond promptly.
  • Assist in guest removal and retention during pool or beach evacuations.
  • Manually operate motorized ride lift and dispatch stations using mechanical switchboards including starting, stopping, evacuating, and safely launching riders on water park slides.
  • Supervise ride activity via live video monitors in the video control room and enforce ride evacuation and safety protocols.
  • Abide by and enforce all Water Park and beach rules and regulations.
  • Lead morning physical conditioning and exercises.
  • Perform equipment checks and maintain cleanliness and organization at the work location.
  • Participate in required development activities, in-service training sessions, practical audits maintaining IAM(Elite) standards.
  • Retrieve lost articles from pools and rides as necessary.
  • Conduct pool chemical readings throughout the day to verify safe operating levels.
  • Perform preparation for special events and severe inclement weather as required by management.
  • Attend meetings and/or training sessions as requested by management.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
  • Create a working environment free of discord and ensure open communication with internal and external customers.
  • Perform all reasonable duties requested by management.

  • Position is based at The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort Property located in The Bahamas.
  • Applicants must have legal ability to work in The Bahamas without sponsorship.
