ButterflyMX is hiring a Principal Product Manager responsible for owning the product roadmap and driving the end-to-end experience across two connected user groups, focusing on AI-driven workflow automation and customer conversion in property access and management.

About the product
- Developers and owners no longer need to run building wiring or install in-unit hardware.
- Property managers can grant building access, revoke permissions, and review entry logs from an online dashboard.
- Residents can open doors from their smartphones, issue visitor access, and see who is trying to enter the building.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the product roadmap for this new area: evaluate what has been scoped, stress-test assumptions, and evolve the plan accordingly.
- Define and drive the end-to-end experience across two connected user groups: one consumer-facing, one operator-facing.
- Identify where AI-driven automation can reduce friction and improve outcomes on both sides of the experience, building those capabilities to earn trust.
- Navigate a complex integration landscape, working with third-party platforms and data sources central to the market.
- Conduct rigorous discovery by engaging with end users and operators, sharpening problem definitions while iterating with Design and Engineering.
- Establish metrics that matter and hold yourself accountable to them.
Requirements
- 7+ years in product management with a track record of owning products from concept to market, including improving early-stage work.
- Funnel and conversion fluency: understanding acquisition, activation, drop-off and how to fix journey breakdowns.
- Consumer UX instincts for high-stakes decisions requiring trust, clarity, and confidence.
- Deep familiarity with AI-driven communication and workflow automation including responsible deployment.
- B2B2C fluency: experience building products serving different end users and buyers.
- Integration-savviness: experience navigating complex third-party ecosystems and product tradeoffs.
- AI-native thinking: using intelligent systems integrally in product solutions and staying current with AI technology.
- A builder’s mindset: prototyping, tinkering, exploring ideas quickly, and closing the loop between requests and engineering delivery.
- Sharp communication influencing engineering, design, go-to-market, and leadership without authority.
Nice to have
- Experience in proptech, multifamily real estate, or property operations.
- Experience building products with scheduling, logistics, or real-world coordination focus.
- Experience working in or alongside a marketplace, CRM, or demand generation product.
- Background in products where trust and safety are design requirements.
